🎢 VinWonders Phu Quoc — Rides, Zones & the ONCE Show
VinWonders opened in April 2021 and covers a massive area with over 100 attractions. The park is divided into several themed zones, each with its own character and opening hours.
Adventure World is where you’ll find the thrill rides. Thor’s Adventure is a roller coaster with inversions (height requirement: over 145 cm). The Wrath of Zeus is a high-speed spinning ride (over 145 cm). Nemesis Spin and Flying Eagle offer high-altitude spins. Guests over 100 kg may be restricted from many rides, and height limits are strictly enforced. The zone is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Fantasy World is the fairy-tale zone, with indoor and family-friendly attractions. Aladdin’s Grand Palace Tour runs multiple shows throughout the day: 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM, 11:30 AM, and then every 30 minutes from 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Typhoon World is the water park section, open from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. It has slides, wave pools, and areas for younger children. If you’re visiting on a hot day, this is the place to be in the afternoon.
Mysterious Viking Village includes the Viking River Rapids Ride (open 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM) and a rock‑climbing wall. Thor’s Adventure and the roller coaster in this area close at 5:00 PM, so don’t leave them for the end of the day.
The park also has a 120‑metre Observation Wheel in Adventure World. One rotation takes about 20–30 minutes. The best time to ride is just before sunset, because you get a full view of the northern coast, the ocean, and the park below. It’s included with park entry.
Important note: Some rides may close unexpectedly due to maintenance, rain, or strong wind. There’s a large TV screen at the main gate showing the day’s schedule, including all mini‑shows and temporary closures.
🐠 The Sea Shell Aquarium — Turtles, Sharks & Mermaids
The Sea Shell is one of the largest aquariums in the world, shaped like a giant turtle. It spans 15,000 m² across three floors and houses 255,000 sea creatures across five oceanic zones. The highlights include the Frozen Palace (real penguins in the tropics), Sharklantis (sharks swimming above you), and Midnight Drifters (a room with over 1,260 glowing jellyfish).
The Mermaid Show (Colors of the Ocean) runs at 1:00 PM and 3:30 PM. Performers in stunning mermaid costumes dance in the tank, interacting with the fish. The Fish Feeding Show happens at 11:00 AM. Priority seating for the mermaid show costs an additional 250,000 VND and guarantees a premium spot.
The aquarium also has the Deep Sea Restaurant, Vietnam’s first underwater dining spot. You eat while sharks, rays, and thousands of fish swim past your table. The food is set‑menu only: 750,000 VND and 1,500,000 VND per person. Vegetarian options are available. Live violin music plays from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, when sunlight hits the aquarium and makes the view even better. The restaurant is open from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM (last order at 5:30 PM).
🎭 ONCE Show — The $12 Million Nightly Spectacle
VinWonders closes at 7:30 PM, but the last show starts at 6:45 PM at Fire Phoenix Square. The ONCE Show is a 20-minute multimedia performance created by the world-leading production company Quantum Creative. It has a budget of $12 million. It is a battle between Good and Evil, performed by hundreds of professional dancers with water, light, and projection effects on a stage of 11,200 m².
The show is included with park entry — no extra charge. Arrive at least 15 minutes early to get a decent spot. The square fills up fast, especially on weekends. If you’re staying at a nearby hotel, head back to the northern resort area after the show.
🦒 Vinpearl Safari — Bus Tour, Walking Zoo & Night Safari
Vinpearl Safari is Vietnam’s first semi-wild conservation park. Visitors ride buses while the animals roam freely. The safari is part of the Vinpearl complex and operates as an open-air zoological park with over 150 species, including giraffes, zebras, rhinos, antelopes, lions, and tigers.
The Safari Bus Tour is the main event. You drive through open habitats where animals walk past the windows — no glass or bars, just you and them in the same space. The bus ride takes you through the lion, tiger, and herbivore zones. It’s the closest you’ll get to a real African safari in Vietnam.
After the bus, you can explore the Walking Zoo. This is where you will find the giraffes, zebras, antelopes, primates, and reptiles. There are feeding areas where you can buy food and interact with some animals.
VIP Zoo Tour is an upgrade for small groups. It costs from 500,000 VND per person (minimum 5 people) and includes a private tram, a guide, and 60 minutes of exclusive access. You can talk to the guide, ask questions, and get closer to the animals.

The safari bus tour ends at Flamingo Restaurant. It’s open to safari visitors and serves a mix of Vietnamese and Western dishes, with prices ranging from 30,000 to 120,000 VND. The real draw is the location: you can see zebras, giraffes, and antelopes grazing while you eat. There’s also an animal feeding area nearby where you can interact with some species after your meal. The restaurant is open from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
