But there is a catch: «Panorama» is not a single hotel but an entire building run by many different management companies. They sell rooms under various names, often including the word «Panorama.» In reality, you are booking a room in the exact same building, but the service, room condition, and even floor can vary greatly depending on who manages it. Therefore, if you have your heart set on this skyscraper, read reviews carefully before booking. That said, neighboring hotels near Panorama are often just as good and cost less.

By the way, getting to Vinpearl from this area is very convenient: a city bus runs along the promenade, and its final stop is right at the cable car.

Need a break from the city buzz? From this area, you can easily escape to peace and quiet for a couple of days. The port where boats depart for Hon Tam Island is very close. Book a room at Hon Tam Resort and 15 minutes later you are on a white‑sand beach in total relaxation.

🏖️ The South (An Vien): For Absolute Relaxation

If your goal is to completely disconnect from the city, head to the far south, to the An Vien area. Life flows differently here.

The beach in this area is protected by breakwaters, so there are almost no waves, and the water warms up better and faster than in the open sea. It is an ideal spot for families with small children. The downside: minimal infrastructure. Literally a couple of shops and cafés for the whole area. This is a place for very slow, meditative living.

Insider Tip: An Vien is the closest area to the port for boats to Hon Tam. So if you choose this neighborhood, paradise island is just a stone’s throw away.

For budget accommodation here, consider Crown Nguyen Hoang Hotel — a simple but tidy hotel where you can stay cheaply by the sea. Another option is Orbit Hotel Nha Trang, which offers good value for money.

📝 Planning to Stay Longer? Where to Find an Apartment

Hotels are a great starting option. I recommend booking a room for 3‑5 days, settling in, resting after the journey, and then leisurely searching for a long‑term rental apartment on the spot.

Why search locally? Vietnamese prefer to negotiate in person rather than through online services. The best way to find an apartment is to walk around your chosen neighborhood and ask at the reception of every building you like. There are millions of options, and the price in person is often lower than online.

Of course, online search is still an option. Here are the main resources:

Facebook groups: The primary tool for finding housing among expats. A huge number of listings from agents and owners.

Telegram chats: There are also many rental chats in Nha Trang where you can find verified options.

🗺️ Other Nha Trang Areas: A Quick Overview

Big C Area: The GO! shopping center (formerly Big C) is a landmark for another calm, family‑friendly neighborhood.
