Vietjet Adds 82,000 Seats for Vietnam’s National Day Travel Rush

Vietjet is adding 82,000 seats to its network ahead of Vietnam’s National Day holiday, giving travelers more flight options during one of the country’s busiest travel periods.

From August 26 to September 5, 2026, Vietjet plans to operate more than 4,400 flights, including around 400 additional flights added specifically for the holiday travel period.

The additional capacity will focus on routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi with major tourist destinations, including Da Nang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, Hue and Da Lat.

Vietnam’s National Day falls on September 2, with the official 2026 holiday period running from August 29 through September 2. The extended break is expected to generate increased demand for domestic flights, hotels and other travel services.

For travelers, the additional flights should provide more choice during the peak period, although popular routes may still fill quickly. Vietjet has also increased staffing and operational resources at airports to handle the expected increase in passenger numbers.

Passengers traveling during the holiday can use Vietjet’s online check-in through the airline’s website or app to save time at the airport.
