That is also why I would not try to squeeze the museum into a ten-minute stop between other attractions. Give yourself enough time to actually look at the collection.

If military history is one of your main interests, give yourself two hours or more. There is enough detail in the collection that rushing through every room would defeat the purpose of visiting.
If you are traveling with someone who is not particularly interested in military history, around an hour should give you a good overview without making the visit feel too long.
Is the Museum Good for Tourists?
Yes, especially if you want to see something beyond the standard Vung Tau attractions.
The museum is not just about looking at old weapons. The uniforms, armor, mannequins and historical displays make it much easier to understand how military equipment changed from one period to another.
It is also an indoor attraction, which makes it a useful option during the hottest part of the day or when you simply want a break from the beach and outdoor sightseeing.

You are not looking at a museum dedicated only to Vietnamese military history. Instead, the collection brings together objects from different countries and periods, so you can move from ancient and medieval displays to European military uniforms and 20th-century weapons in the same visit.
That makes it particularly interesting for travelers who enjoy history but may not normally plan their trips around traditional museums.
What Should You Combine with the Museum?
The location makes it easy to combine the Worldwide Arms Museum with other places in central Vung Tau.
You can continue toward Bãi Trước for a walk along the waterfront, visit one of the city’s cafes or restaurants, or continue your sightseeing toward the mountain and coastal viewpoints.
For example, you can combine the museum with Mũi Nghinh Phong or Vung Tau Lighthouse if you want to mix indoor history with coastal scenery.
If you are looking for another mountain experience, Hồ Mây Park is another option, although I would allow considerably more time for the park than for the museum.
What Else Can You Do in Vung Tau?
The Worldwide Arms Museum works best as one part of a larger Vung Tau itinerary.
You can spend the morning exploring the coast, visit the museum during the hotter part of the day, and then continue to the waterfront or one of the city’s rooftop bars in the afternoon.
