The Buffet with 250+ Dishes and Free VIP Rooms

I have been to many buffets in Nha Trang. Most are forgettable — lukewarm trays of fried rice, sad-looking sushi, and the faint smell of bleach. But QooQoo Buffet Nha Trang on the 12th floor of Gold Coast Mall? This one genuinely surprised me. Not just the food — but the alcohol menu that nobody has shared online. Until now. 🦞

The restaurant sits atop Gold Coast Mall at 01 Trần Hưng Đạo. There is no big street sign screaming at you, which is exactly why most tourists walk right past it. Take the elevator up, and the doors open onto 3,000 m² of pure, unapologetic seafood indulgence. The space can hold up to 1,000 guests, yet somehow it never feels like a feeding frenzy. If you are planning a trip to Nha Trang, this buffet should be high on your list — alongside a reliable eSIM for Vietnam so you can share every plate in real time.

🦐 Live Seafood, Sushi, and a Chocolate Fountain

The headline is true: over 250 different dishes rotate through the stations. But numbers mean nothing if the quality is mediocre, and this is where QooQoo separates itself from the pack. The live seafood station is the star — crabs, shrimp, clams, squid, brought out fresh constantly. I watched a chef refill the crab tray three times in the hour I was there. The crabs were still twitching. That is the level of freshness you are dealing with.

The sushi and rolls section is surprisingly good for a buffet. Tuna, salmon, shrimp, vegetable rolls — they do not skimp on the filling, and the rice is properly seasoned. Hot dishes lean into Vietnamese, Korean, and Japanese influences: grilled meats, stir-fries, soups that taste like someone’s grandmother made them. There is a live noodle station where they cook your bowl to order, and a BBQ station that fills the air with the smell of caramelising pork.

And then there is the chocolate fondue fountain. I was not expecting it. A cascade of warm chocolate, surrounded by skewers of fruit, marshmallows, and cubes of sponge cake. I went back three times. Next to it, a fresh orange juice machine squeezes whole oranges right in front of you — no concentrate, no added sugar. Just pure, cold juice that cuts through the richness of everything else. The dessert section rounds things out with fresh fruit, small cakes, jelly, and ice cream.

It is the perfect peaceful counterpoint to a massive buffet feast.

🍺 The Alcohol Menu Nobody Posted (Until Now)

Here is the information you will not find anywhere else online. Alcohol is not included in the buffet price, and the menu is extensive. I photographed every page so you know exactly what you are in for.

  • Beer (40,000 – 50,000 VND/can): Saigon Lager (40k), Tiger Silver (50k), Heineken Silver (50k).
  • Soju (130,000 – 160,000 VND): Jinro Chamisul Fresh (360ml, 130k), Jinro Is Back (360ml, 130k), KSQ Dak Makgeolli (360ml, 130k), Kaero (750ml, 160k), Chum Churum Saero (360ml, 160k), Nếp Mới rice wine (500ml, 30k).
  • Wine (glass 160,000 VND, bottle from 700,000 VND): Red — Tavernello, Tini (glass 160k), Santa Carolina Reserve (700k/bottle), Chateau Clou du Pin (1,198k/bottle). White — Danzante Pinot Grigio (700k/bottle), Tavernello Chardonnay (glass 160k), Tini Pinot Grigio (glass 160k).

Keep in mind: an additional 8% VAT + 10% service charge applies to everything, including alcohol. Factor roughly 18–20% on top of whatever you order. If you plan to drink, budget an extra 200,000–400,000 VND per person depending on how many beers or soju bottles you go through.

🎁 Free VIP Rooms & Kids’ Area

Here is something nobody tells you until you are already there: if you are a group of six or more people, you can ask for a free VIP room. No extra charge. Just a quieter, more comfortable space with your own table and less foot traffic. Call 088.940.7979 or 088.960.7979 ahead of time to reserve one, especially on weekends. I saw a family of eight celebrating a birthday in one, and they looked infinitely more relaxed than the rest of us in the main hall.

For families with children, there is a free play area where kids can burn energy while you eat. It is supervised enough to keep them busy, and it is a genuine lifesaver if you are travelling with small ones.

🕘 Practical Information

  • 📍 Address: 12th Floor, Gold Coast Mall, 01 Trần Hưng Đạo, Nha Trang.
  • ⏰ Opening Hours: Daily from 11:00 to 22:00 (no afternoon break on weekends).
  • 📞 Hotline: 088.940.7979 / 088.960.7979.
  • 🚗 Getting There: The mall is a short Grab ride from most central Nha Trang hotels. You can also rent a car or motorbike online and park at the mall.

💡 My Honest Tips

  • Come at opening time. 11:00 for lunch or 17:00 for dinner. The seafood is freshest, the tables are empty, and you can grab a VIP room before anyone else arrives.
  • Do not fill up on rice or noodles. Save stomach space for crab, shrimp, the chocolate fondue, and that incredible fresh orange juice.
  • Budget for alcohol. If you plan to drink, add an extra 200,000–400,000 VND per person on top of the buffet price. The soju selection is particularly good.
  • Reserve a VIP room if you are 6+. Call the hotline ahead, especially on weekends. It is free and makes the experience far more comfortable.

💎 Verdict: Worth Every Dong

QooQoo Buffet Nha Trang is not the cheapest buffet in the city. But the scale — 3,000 m², 250+ dishes, live seafood — combined with the quality, the free VIP rooms, the kids’ area, and that unique 12th-floor ocean view make it worth every dong. Plus, you now have the alcohol menu that no one else has posted. Screenshot it before you go. 🦞
