Vung Tau has a surprisingly good rooftop scene for a relatively small beach city, including the best rooftop bars in Vung Tau that offer good views. During my stay, I visited five different rooftop places, and they turned out to be quite different from each other.
Some are better for a sunset drink, some have rooftop pools, some are more about dinner and panoramic views, and one of them even exemplifies the best rooftop bars in Vung Tau with a rooftop experience featuring a large buffet and evening entertainment.

If you only want one recommendation, I would choose Premier Pearl for the most complete rooftop experience. If you simply want a drink with a great beach view, the choice is much wider.
1. Premier Pearl Rooftop
Best for: buffet, pool, panoramic views and an evening out
Premier Pearl is not just one rooftop venue. The rooftop area has several different experiences, which is what makes this place particularly interesting.
The hotel is at 69–69A Thùy Vân, directly around the Back Beach area. The rooftop includes the SkyDeck 360 area, Sky Buffet and the Skylight pool and bar areas.
If you are staying around Thùy Vân, it is also an easy place to add to a beach day. You can spend the afternoon at Vung Tau’s beaches and come here later for the view, dinner or drinks.
The Rooftop Bar
The rooftop nightlife side starts in the evening. This is the part I would choose if you want music, drinks and a more energetic atmosphere rather than simply sitting somewhere for coffee.
The official information currently lists the Skylight area and bar as part of the rooftop complex, with evening entertainment and a beer-focused format on selected hours.
It is worth coming before dark because the view changes completely once the lights around Vung Tau and Thùy Vân Beach come on.
The Rooftop Pool
The infinity pool is another reason to come here.
You can combine the pool with drinks and the sea view, which makes Premier Pearl more than just a rooftop bar.
The pool and pool bar are part of the rooftop facilities, while the hotel’s current information lists the infinity pool operating during daytime hours.

Sky Buffet
This is probably the most interesting part for food lovers.
The Sky Buffet is on the upper floor of the hotel and has a wide selection of seafood, grilled dishes, Vietnamese food, desserts and made-to-order dishes.
When I visited, the menu displayed several different buffet options.
The basic buffet was 490,000 VND per adult, with a children’s price of 350,000 VND.
There was also a 690,000 VND option with additional seafood choices.
The top package shown on the menu was 999,000 VND and included a 0.25 kg lobster together with wine, draft beer and soft drinks.
The menu I photographed stated that the buffet operates on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 18:00 to 22:00, so these are the prices and schedule I found during my visit. Check the current schedule before going because buffet programs can change.

Karaoke at Premier Pearl
There is also karaoke on the second floor in the Signature Dining area.
One promotion I saw during my visit offered one hour of singing plus another hour, or a free singing hour under the promotion conditions for qualifying bills.
So Premier Pearl can actually work as a complete evening: rooftop drinks, buffet dinner, pool and then karaoke.
My pick: come before sunset, look around the rooftop, have dinner at the buffet and stay into the evening.
2. On The Top Bar – ibis Styles Vũng Tàu
Best for: rooftop pool, Back Beach views and a relaxed afternoon
On The Top is located at ibis Styles Vũng Tàu, 117 Thùy Vân.
This one has a much more relaxed feeling than a full-scale evening entertainment venue. The rooftop pool is the main attraction, and the view is directly toward Back Beach.
I think this is one of the better choices if you want to sit somewhere comfortable in the afternoon, have something to eat or drink and watch the beach from above.
What Can You Order?
I photographed the current menu here, so these prices are from my visit rather than an old online menu.
Beer prices included:
- Saigon / Tiger / Heineken — 80,000 VND
- Corona 300 ml — 140,000 VND
- Combo of 4 Saigon / Tiger / Heineken — 250,000 VND
- Combo of 4 Corona — 500,000 VND
There is also a proper food menu with burgers, pizza, shaking beef, seafood pizza, oyster congee, desserts and other dishes.
Non-alcoholic drinks include fresh juices from 70,000 VND, smoothies from 95,000 VND, iced teas from 75,000 VND and Vietnamese coffee from around 60,000 VND.
The menu states that prices are in VND and are subject to a 5% service charge and VAT.

When Would I Go?
I would come here in the late afternoon.
You can have a drink, use the pool, order some food and then stay for sunset without having to move somewhere else.
For me, that is the main advantage of On The Top: you can turn a simple rooftop drink into a few relaxed hours.
3. Sky Bar
Best for: sea views and dinner for two
Sky Bar is at 17 Thùy Vân, right in the Back Beach area.
The rooftop setting gives you a great view over the sea, and there is also a pool, so this is another place where you can combine the view with food and drinks.
What caught my attention here was not just the rooftop itself, but the Vietnamese dinner set I found on the menu.
Set Dinner for Two — 549,000 VND
The set I photographed was 549,000 VND for two people.
It included:
- Crab spring rolls
- Vietnamese-style grilled pork ribs
- Braised fish in a clay pot
- Stir-fried vegetables with garlic
- Soup of the day
- ST25 steamed rice
- Dessert
That makes Sky Bar quite different from the usual rooftop where the main reason for coming is a cocktail.
If you are already staying around Bãi Sau, you can look for hotels near Thùy Vân Beach and keep this part of the city convenient for an evening out.
Who Is It Good For?
I would consider Sky Bar if you want to combine sea views, a pool and an actual dinner rather than just stopping for one drink.
The 549,000 VND set for two is also an easy option if you are traveling as a couple and do not want to spend time choosing several individual dishes.
4. Oasky 36
Best for: one of the highest panoramic views over Vung Tau
Oasky 36 is located at 2 Lê Hồng Phong, on the 36th floor of the Oasky building.
This is the rooftop I would choose when the view itself is the main reason for going.
From this height, you get a much wider panorama over Vung Tau, the coastline and the city. It feels different from the hotel rooftops around Thùy Vân because you are much higher above the surrounding buildings.
The venue is a restaurant and lounge rather than simply a bar, so you can sit down for a proper meal as well as drinks.
The current menu includes seafood, European-style dishes, cocktails, wine and imported beers.
The restaurant’s own information specifically highlights the panoramic sea-and-city views, while current listings place it on the 36th floor.

Best Time to Visit Oasky 36
I would choose sunset or the first hour after sunset.
During daylight you can see the coastline and city clearly, while after dark the streets and buildings below turn into a completely different view.
It is also a good choice for a special dinner or drinks with friends because the height makes the experience feel noticeably different from an ordinary restaurant.
5. Breeze Rooftop Bar
Best for: Front Beach views, pool and a relaxed atmosphere
Breeze Rooftop Bar is located at 2 Trương Công Định, at Fusion Suites Vũng Tàu.
The rooftop overlooks the Front Beach side of the city, so the view here is quite different from the rooftops around Thùy Vân.
That makes Breeze particularly interesting if you want to see the other side of Vung Tau from above.
The rooftop includes a pool area and a bar, and the venue is open to visitors who are not staying at the hotel, subject to the current access and spending conditions.
Current listings also show Breeze operating from morning into the evening, so this is not necessarily only a nightlife destination.
If you want to combine it with a walk around the waterfront, the Vung Tau promenade is nearby.
Why Choose Breeze?
I would choose Breeze if you want something more relaxed than a large buffet or entertainment venue.
The combination of rooftop, pool and Front Beach views is the main attraction.
It also works well as part of a longer evening: walk around Front Beach, stop for dinner somewhere nearby and then come up here for drinks and the city lights.

Best Rooftop for Sunset in Vung Tau
If sunset is the main reason you are going to a rooftop, I would not arrive after the sun has already disappeared.
Try to get there roughly 30–45 minutes before sunset.
That gives you the daytime view, the sunset itself and then the first few minutes of the city lighting up.
For a wide sea panorama, I would choose Premier Pearl or Oasky 36.
For a more relaxed pool setting, On The Top is a better fit.
You can also combine a rooftop evening with other Vung Tau sunset spots if you want to compare the views.
Are Rooftop Bars Expensive in Vung Tau?
They can be, but there is a big difference between ordering one drink and buying a full rooftop experience.
At On The Top, for example, beer starts at 80,000 VND, while Premier Pearl’s buffet options are obviously much more expensive because food and additional inclusions are part of the package.
Oasky 36 and Breeze are more suitable if you simply want drinks and a view without committing to a large buffet.
My advice is to decide first whether you want the view, the food, the pool or the nightlife. That makes it much easier to decide whether a rooftop is actually good value for you.
Can You Visit Rooftop Pools Without Staying at the Hotel?
This depends on the property.
Some rooftop bars and restaurants are open to outside visitors, while pool access can have separate conditions or minimum spending requirements.
So if the swimming pool is the main reason you are going, check the current access rules before traveling.

Oasky 36 is closer to the Back Beach side as well, so you can visit several of these places without crossing the entire city.

My Five Rooftop Picks
After visiting all five, I would not say there is one rooftop that is automatically better than the others.
They are simply good for different things.
Premier Pearl is the most complete experience, especially if you combine the rooftop with the buffet and evening entertainment.
On The Top is my choice for a relaxed pool afternoon with Back Beach directly below.
Sky Bar is interesting if you want dinner as part of the rooftop experience, especially the 549,000 VND set for two.
Oasky 36 is about the height and the panoramic view.
Breeze gives you a different perspective over Front Beach and works well for a more relaxed drink.
So rather than trying to visit every rooftop in Vung Tau, I would choose one based on what kind of evening you actually want.
Final Thoughts
One thing I liked about Vung Tau’s rooftop scene is that the five places do not feel like copies of each other.
You can have a pool day at On The Top, eat a full buffet at Premier Pearl, have a Vietnamese dinner at Sky Bar, go high above the city at Oasky 36 or relax over Front Beach at Breeze.
That gives you quite a lot of choice for a city that is only a couple of hours from Ho Chi Minh City.
If you are spending a weekend here, I would put at least one rooftop visit around sunset into the itinerary. It is one of the easiest ways to see how different Vung Tau looks after the beach crowds disappear and the city starts lighting up.
